1、Usage & Characteristics

    The product（PRF-102R）is a powered air purifying respirator (refer to Fig 1)，filtrating precision 0.3μm，filtrating efficiency99.97%，integrating respiratory, skin and eye protection, which is light in weight, easy to operate, well-sealed, with fine filtering precision, air flow supply big and the air flow can be regulate, clockwise regulate big flow and anti-clockwise regulate small flow and satisfactory positive pressure, and durable in life. It assures that in an environment with a dense dust concentration and poisonous environment, people wearing this respiratory article could work with ease and merriness, and thereby do a good job for keeping healthy with them. Therefore this product is an optimum personal protective article in prevention of occupational disease.

2、Applicable Scope

2.1 Various metal or other mineral mining.

2.2 Ore crushing/sifting and transportation in metallurgy.

2.3 Sand molding, cast sand removing/spraying in mechanical manufacture

2.4 In building material manufacture, such as mining for the production of refractory materials,

glass, cement, and stones; and mining & transportation of asbestos, inclusive of breaking up,

milling, sifting, and blending.

2.5 pharmacy、chemical plant and the laboratory with environments of dust and harm.

2.6 prevent respiratory infection，prevent germ、virus.

2.7 Channel caving and explosive operation in building roads, railways, and water conservatory and/or water power facilities.

2.8 If there is 102G 、102W filter in it this product can be used in the condition that acidic gas, alkaline gas, neutral gas, organic gas coexist.

In sum, this product is adaptive to various dusty and/or harmful operating conditions, inclusive of preventing from various particles (dust, fog, smoke and the like) and many kinds of poisonous and harmful ill odors.

3、Structure

3.1 Main body of PRF-102R has 4 choices of filters. Those are 102D,102HD， 102G and 102W.（refer to 6.2）

3.2 This product has four choices of air-supply hood

A2 air-supply helmet、M1 air-supply hood、M2 air-supply hood、M3 air-supply hood （refer to 6.3）

4、Installation

    Ready for use after tightly connecting the breath tube, main body and air-supply hood (refer to Fig 1).

5、Application

5.1 Tightly connect the battery with the main body by using spring wire，put the main body and battery into the bum-bag， adjust the belt according to each person’s instance，put the hoop of air-supply hood in a suitable place，put the respirator on，turn on the power，regulate flow knob in respirator and regulate appropriate flow, it will then work. The powered respirator is equipped electronic warning system, when battery energy is low, electronic warning system will buzz, and then power will be off automatically.

5.2 Attention

5.2.1 Before the product is put into use, the battery must be charged up. In duration of operation, this product must be switched on; otherwise no dust or poison control may be gained. It is prohibited to short connect the product or put it into fire. The battery must be recharged up if it doesn’t work for at least six months. Main body（battery is charged up）can work for 6--8 hours continuously.   When air flow regulate maximum, the battery can work for 6 hours continuously, when air flow regulate minimum, the battery can work 8 hours continuously.  If it works for more than 6--8 hours, stand by battery must be prepared.

5.2.2 Prior to entering contaminated operating conditions, please wear this product and switch on the power supply.

5.2.3 There may be a tiny gap in the sections between head cover and face or neck. Please do not worry about it. Because it remains positive pressure within the facial mask, outside dust particles and gases could not get in.

5.2.4 It shall be avoided damaging the air tube or exposure to open flame or sparks. However, if such exposure in operating conditions is unavoidable, the air tube shall be covered with a flame-resistant lag.

5.2.5 Enough care shall be given to the cleanness of both individual head and bonnet. The bonnet may be washed with water but glasses damage shall be avoided during bonnet washing.

5.2.6 After each work the product must be taken away from the work area and conserved airproof. Otherwise the filter will continue to work so that the life will be shorted.

5.2.7 This product is unsuitable to anoxic (i.e. oxygen content less than 18%) or explosive operating conditions, or IDLH concentration (Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health).

5.2.8 If the environment is anoxic and possibly explosive breath hose could be used so that main body will be safe. Powered air supply long hose respirator consist of three main parts which are main body、long hose and helmet. Regulate flow knob in respirator and regulate maximum flow, Providing various kinds of helmet and hood to be choose. There are 10 meters、15 meters and 20 meters long hose to be choose when use of open helmet. The open helmet is not suitable to anoxic environment (oxygen content less than 18%) and IDLH environment (Immediately dangerous to life and healthy). The open helmet should not be used if the operating condition is anoxic or IDLH environment. On this condition only closed type helmet (full mask) can be used, the longest length of the long hose can be choose is 40 meters.

5.2.9  If there is AC power nearby battery needn’t be used under the situation of breath hose.

     Use switch to give the power supply. Thus the time of power supply will not be limitative.

5.2.10 If use breath hose, only low-resistance filter (type: 102HD) is suitable for large-air resistance will bad influence the air flow of filter. Our company provide filters in various use.

5.2.11 If powered respirator is far from working space, operator works in anoxic like condition with breath hose, there should be person specially assigned for a task of ward. Person outside must communicate with the operators to confirm whether powered respirator is in order. If suddenness happens( powered respirator doesn’t work), operator  must be rescued immediately to insure the person safety

5.3 Replace for filter and gasket:

5.3.1 For 102D high efficiency particulate filter：Filter changing is necessary when you feel much less or no fresh air get in even with enough power supply from the battery, resulting from the fact that the filter may have been filled with fine particles in such case. Take out the filter and knock the windward side so that much dust could be knocked out. Use the soft dry cloth or paper wipes the filter. Put the filter into main body thus it can continue to work. After used time after time the filter may be full of dust, thus may change the filter.

5.3.2  For 102G、102W high efficiency dust and gas proof filter：for dustproof, the way of changing filter is the same as above (refer to 5.3.1)；For gas proof, it depends on whether feel the ill odors. If feel the ill odors or swirl, naupathia that is to say filter box 102G、102W is saturated. It lost the ability to filtrate the poison. It should be changed.

5.3.3  In duration of filter changing, if the purified cavity in the main body kit was contaminated by fine dust from the edge of the filter, the cavity shall be cleaned, otherwise, the dust control effects may be diminished. Subsequent to filter changing, due attention shall be paid to tighten the back cover of the main body kit and secure the filter.

5.3.4 The aneroid chamber and filter member were cleaned up prior to use the respirator, or a new filter, reeking out an unpleasant odor and dust from the breathing tube while using process, that would be likely the gasket in aneroid chamber of service life too long to lose its elasticity resulting of poor sealing, here it is necessary replacing a new gasket to ensure well sealing of respirator.

   5.3.5  The filter 102D、102G、102W shall not be exposed to water or moisture. If any such exposure, please change in time either.

5.3.6  If use breath hose the way of replacing filter is the same of 102D(refer to 5.3.1).

5.4Charging

5.4.1 When you feel much less or even no air get in with a new filter or a filter before the expiration date, when the battery energy is low, electronic warning system will buzz,  then the batteries need to be changed accordingly.

5.4.2 The aperture in the battery compartment is for power supply or charging use.

5.4.3 Insert the charger plug into the aperture in the battery compartment (socket), and connect the charger to 100 ~ 240V alternative current power supply and the charging is in progress.

5.4.4 When the charger begins operation, the indicator will turn red indicating the initiation of charging and then turn green indicating the completion of it.

5.4.5 With first use, more than 8hrs charge is needed and with routine use thereafter, 5hrs charge is enough. The intelligent charger may avoid batter damage resulting from overcharge.

6、Main Parts and Parameters

6.1  Electrically motivated blower fan (space fan DC brushless) Specification：Φ 120mm H32mm，Voltage 12V DC, Power >16W，Noise <55dB, Life >50000hrs，Normal minimum air flow >600L/Min，Air flow after filter >170L/Min.

6.2  Filter（102D、102G、102W）Specification：（165×165×62）mm，Filtrating precision 0.3μm，Dust resistance rate >99.97%, Life of filter conserved airproof is 3 years. The conserved environment must be desiccate, air floating, no acid or alkali or impregnant and such polluted matter.

6.2.1 102D high efficiency particulate filter：applicable to various grain like material（dust、fog、smoke and so on）and no super scale gas .Together with 38mm thick HEPA and 2mm thick active carton fibre in it that has huge capability to filtrate the dust and  can sieve all kinds of dust , germ , virus and low concentration ill odors（Air flow is huge after putting main body :260L/Min—300L/Min）.Time of work can be various according to the work environment: 102D almost 3 months.

6.2.2 102G high efficiency dust and gas filter：applicable to various grain like material（dust、fog、smoke and so on）and many kinds of poisonous and harmful ill odors. Together with 10mm thick HEPA and 30mm thick (weight about 200g) high efficiency catalyzed active  fiber charcoal in it that can sieve all kinds of dust , germ , virus and high concentration poisonous and harmful odors（After putting main body air flow is :170L/Min—240L/Min）.For dustproof, performance is the same as 102D（refer to 6.2.1）. Dustproof time of 102G is a little shorter than 102D. For gas proof , this filter can filtrate acidic gas, alkalescent gas, neutral gas and organic gas synchronously. Compositive effect of filtrating poison is perfect. This characteristic precedes than normal active carton and material. Time of work can be various according to the work environment. When feel ill odors, that is to say the life of 102G filter is ending. It must be changed.

6.2.3 102W high efficiency dust and gas filter：applicable to various grain like material（dust、fog、smoke and so on）and many kinds of poisonous and harmful ill odors.     Together with 20mm thick HEPA and 20mm thick (weight about 130g) high efficiency  catalyzed active fiber charcoal in it that can sieve all kinds of dust , germ , virus and high concentration poisonous and harmful odors（After putting main body air flow is :200L/Min—260L/Min）.For dustproof, performance is the same as 102D（refer to 6.2.1）. Dustproof time of 102W is a little shorter than 102D. For gas proof, this filter can filtrate acidic gas, alkalescent gas, neutral gas and organic gas synchronously. Compositive effect of filtrating poison is perfect. This characteristic precedes than normal active carton and material. Wind resistance of 102W is smaller than 102G, but gas proof time is shorter than 102G. Time of work can be various according to the work environment. When feel ill odors, that is to say the life of 102W filter is ending. It must be changed.

6.3   Breath hose: Φ38mm，L 1-15m. Lightweight（PU）material. Wind thrill through

     freely even bend 360°. Well airproof. If use breath hose, length 10m to wind capacity 230L/Min while 15m to 160L/Min.

6.4   Air-supply hood：

6.4.1　A2 air-supply helmet：

A2 air-supply mask can be used with any safety helmet on sell to compose air-supply helmet. Glass pieces is higher transparency and impact resistant. The face area is airproof，weight：650g。

6.4.2　M1 air-supply hood，PVC complex material，simple type has no shawl. The area of head and face is airproof, weight：200ｇ

6.4.3　M2 air-supply hood，PVC complex material， shawl together with hood. The area of head and face is airproof,  weight：280ｇ

6.4.4  M3 air-supply hood，PVC complex material， shawl together with hood (breath tube in it ).The area of neck is airproof,  weight：300g

6.4.5 M5 air supply full mask, made or silica gel.

6.5  Battery (Polymer Li-ion type, no memory effect，Voltage：11.1V DC，Capacity 4800mAh. Cycle life of battery: Carry out 500cycle.  PRF-102R guarantee 6—8 hours consecutive  operation following fully charged.   When air flow regulate maximum, the Li-ion battery can work for 6hours continuously, when air flow regulate minimum, the Li-ion battery can work 8 hours continuously. )

6.6  Charger（Intelligent type，Input：100-240V AC 50/60HZ, Output：12.6V DC 1000mA, freely charged without worry about overcharge’s affection upon the battery life）.

6.7 Adaptor (Power supply): Input: 100—240V AC 50/60Hz; Output: 12V DC 1.25A.

                     Though the adaptor can change the 100-240V AC (Alternating Current)  into 12V DC(direct current) to supply the power to the powered respirator. The operating time is not limited.

6.8  Glass pieces（Polycarbonate PC ,  higher transparency and impact resistant，Transparency >90%）.

6.9 PRF-102R respirator, weight : 1500g.

7、Guarantee

    Without intended damage, this product will be guaranteed as follows: 1 (one) year of maintenance with electrically motivated blower fan, 1/2 (half) year of maintenance with Polymer Li-ion battery unit and charger.
